Status

Vemon has no published terms of service. Until it does, there is no agreement governing use of this site beyond what applicable law requires, and the API should be treated as a preview that may change or stop without notice.

What has to be settled first

  • Legal entity. Terms need a contracting party. No company has been formed.
  • Governing law and venue. Follows from where the entity is registered.
  • Acceptable use. What may be done with query results, redistribution limits, scraping and automation rules.
  • Service levels and disclaimers. What is promised about accuracy and availability — and given the data is third-party federal data, what is explicitly not promised.
  • Payment terms. Billing cycle, refunds, suspension for non-payment, price-change notice.
  • Liability and indemnity. Caps and carve-outs.

What is already true

The underlying data is published by U.S. federal agencies and is in the public domain. Vemon claims no ownership of it. Our processing, normalisation, and documentation are our own work; the ingestion script is published openly.
